Selection skills of steam trap

1 Determine the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the steam trap according to the actual working conditions. The inlet pressure of steam trap refers to the minimum working pressure at the inlet of steam trap due to the fluctuation of steam pressure or the throttling of temperature regulating valve; The outlet pressure of the steam trap refers to the maximum possible working back pressure behind the steam trap. When discharged into the atmosphere, the actual pressure difference is determined by the characteristics of the high RTI (relative temperature index) PET material of the steam trap and the application inlet pressure

2. According to the condensate volume produced by the steam heating equipment during normal operation, multiply by the selection correction coefficient K, and then select according to the drainage volume of the steam trap

3. The condensed water volume can be calculated by the following methods:

(1) the condensed water volume generated during the operation of the pipeline q=q0l (1-z/%) (kg/the sample h should be clamped symmetrically by the jaw as required). In this formula:

Q: the condensed water volume (kg/h)

Q0: the condensed water volume generated by the smooth pipe (kg/h)

L: the distance between the drain points (m)

Z: the insulation efficiency (%)

(2) the condensed water volume generated during the operation of the steam heating equipment q=vrc △ P t/ht, In this formula:

q: condensed water volume (kg/h)

v: volume of heated object and record it immediately (M3)

r: density of heated object (kg/m3)

c: specific heat of liquid (kcal/)

△ T: temperature rise of liquid (OC)

h: latent heat of steam (kcal/kg)

t: heating time

4 The value of the selection correction factor K under common service conditions is recommended for users' reference and production reference

5. The structure and principle of various types of steam traps are different, and the performance liquid is different. When selecting, different steam traps can be selected according to different application occasions
